PLEASE
READ BEFORE INSTALLING DATACENTER:
If you are NOT going to be using ChyTV
Tools then you may safely ignore these instructions.
However, if ChyTV Tools and ChyTV Datacenter are going
to be installed on the same system at the same time then
please read the following carefully:
If you are using version 3.0.1 of ChyTV
Tools or earlier then it is recommended that you install
Datacenter after installing Tools.
However, if you are installing version
3.1.2 or later of ChyTV Tools then it is recommended that
you install Tools after installing Datacenter. If you already
have Tools installed then re-install over the old
installation. You will not lose any of your project
data.
In addition, please make sure that your
installations of ChyTV Tools and ChyTV Datacenter use the same
encoding format: ASCII or Unicode. The installers
for both programs should give you the option of choosing
either format. Select the same format for both programs.
If you are displaying only English characters
it is recommended that you use the ASCII version of both
programs. ChyTV units sold in the United States are typically
set up for ASCII communication by default.
If you decide to use Unicode then the INIT.txt
file in the root directory of your ChyTV's flash memory
must also contain the line "CP=UNICODE". If the
line does not exist then simply add it to the end of the
text file or copy the INIT.txt file at <program path>\OS_XX\INIT.txt
to the flash's root directory.
If these instructions are not followed
then it is possible that an error might occur when trying
run either Tools or Datacenter.
